Quang Nam transfers 749 jobs to prevent corruption

The report presented at the conference said that, implementing Resolution No. 23 of the Provincial Party Committee, agencies, units and localities organized 461 classes to disseminate and thoroughly understand the law on preventing corruption, waste and negativity with 33,364 officials, civil servants, public employees and people attending. Compiled and distributed 9,311 documents to disseminate, propagate and widely introduce policies and laws related to preventing corruption, waste and negativity.

After 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 23 of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee directed the Provincial Inspectorate to guide units and localities to implement the declaration of assets and income for 9,716 people who must declare (of which 9,713 people have declared their assets and income).

In the province, 749/775 cases were transferred to work positions to prevent corruption according to regulations. Police units and localities have transferred 182/336 cases to work positions.

The whole province has 8 cases of leaders and 1 case of deputy leaders being disciplined due to lack of responsibility for corruption in the agencies and units they manage and are in charge of.

Party committees and organizations at all levels shall conduct inspections and handle the responsibilities of heads and deputy heads for corruption and negativity occurring in the agencies and units assigned to them for management and responsibility in accordance with regulations. Competent Party committees and organizations have considered the resignation and dismissal of 15 comrades under the management of the district-level Party Committee Standing Committee.

Regarding the results of initiating, investigating, prosecuting, and trying corruption, waste, negativity, economic, and position-related cases, according to the report, the investigation agencies of the Provincial Police and District Police discovered and investigated 231 cases, 431 defendants of corruption, economic, and position-related crimes; of which 149 new cases, 344 defendants were prosecuted.

The People's Procuracy at two levels accepted 46 cases, 122 defendants; resolved and prosecuted 43 cases, 114 defendants, and is resolving 3 cases, 8 defendants. The People's Court at two levels accepted 157 cases, 366 defendants.

Of which, 84 first-instance economic cases, 196 defendants; 57 corruption and negative cases, 143 defendants; 9 appeal economic cases, 20 defendants; 7 appeal corruption and negative cases, 7 defendants. 144 cases, 339 defendants have been resolved and tried. Specifically, 84 first-instance economic cases, 196 defendants; 46 corruption and negative cases, 118 defendants; 9 appeal economic cases, 9 defendants; 5 appeal corruption and negative cases, 5 defendants.
