Mr. Pham Quang Linh, Angolan expatriate:

When you are young, you should do things that feel good.

I am very proud to represent the Vietnamese community abroad to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.

8 years ago, when I left Vietnam for Africa, I was just a young labor export worker, wanting to both make money to improve my family's life and explore the world.

When I was in Africa, I saw that people's lives were still very difficult. People lacked knowledge. If we only gave them "fish" as food, they would not progress. They had a large land area but did not know how to farm. Therefore, my brothers and I thought of helping them farm with staple crops such as corn, potatoes, and cassava to improve their lives.

In particular, through the Youtube channel "Quang Linh Vlogs - life in Africa", not only local people but also many places can learn and refer to.

I feel very happy because after that, many people have benefited from my achievements.

During my work in Angola, I myself have changed a lot, with a new awareness. When abroad, I am no longer just an individual, my actions also affect the image of my country on the international map. The actions of me and my friends are of interest to many people and people not only mention me personally but also talk about Vietnam.

Through my activities, I hope to promote the image of Vietnam, spread the image of my country to the world; build great national unity from outside the country; at the same time, my work can motivate young people in the country.

By attending this congress, I hope to contribute to promoting the spirit of solidarity and contributing youth to the development of the country.

I also want to tell young people that, when we are young, we should do what we feel is good, spread to many people in the country and abroad, we are all moving in the direction of progress and development.

Want to be an inspiration to all ethnic youth

As a medical staff of Hoang Dieu Primary School, Phu Nghia Commune, Bu Gia Map District, Binh Phuoc Province, and Secretary of the village Youth Union, I received a Certificate of Merit as an outstanding ethnic youth of the District Youth Union.

I am very happy and proud to represent many young people, especially ethnic young people. I hope to be an inspiration for all ethnic and religious young people to unite together, develop themselves more to contribute to their homeland.

As the village youth union secretary, there are many ethnic minority youths who have lived here for a long time, but they are still shy and do not dare to express themselves.

Therefore, I want to inspire you to develop the mindset of contributing to the increasingly prosperous homeland, that is the way young people can contribute to society and the country.

Most Venerable Thich Le Trang, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City:

Join hands so that there are no more families lacking food, clothing, or education.

It is my honor to attend this congress. I hope that everyone will join hands to make the Vietnamese people progress each day, on par with the world. Uncle Ho taught: unity, unity, great unity; success, success, great success.

The Front is the core of the great national unity bloc, including religions. Buddhism has accompanied the nation with the spirit of protecting the country and the people, always present in social security work, bringing benefits to the nation, that is the aspiration of everyone in general, and Buddhism in particular.

The Front is the fulcrum for each of us to join hands and contribute to the development of the country. That is my personal aspiration as well as that of Ho Chi Minh City Buddhism.

I hope that the new term front will continue to innovate its methods of operation to keep up with the world's daily innovations. We must constantly innovate to listen to the changes in society.

The Front should expand its gathering and unite all social classes to eliminate poverty, so that there will be no more families lacking food, clothing, or education.

Let us always remember Uncle Ho's teachings, unity leads to success, Buddhism also teaches about harmony, that harmony is strength. Whoever we are, we must first know that we are Vietnamese; whatever our religious beliefs, we must first know our homeland and country. The Front is a common home for all ethnicities and religions to sit together and realize the aspirations that our ancestors taught us.
