Disseminate the content of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's work on preventing and combating corruption and negativity to more than 1,000 key commune-level officials in Nghe An

At the district and commune level, there are 1,121 delegates, including 93 comrades who are secretaries, deputy secretaries of Party committees, chairmen of People's Councils and People's Committees, heads of the Mass Mobilization Department, and chairmen of the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, cities, and towns; and 1,028 comrades who are secretaries of Party committees, chairmen of People's Councils and People's Committees of 460 communes, wards, and townships in the province.

The delegates studied and thoroughly understood the content of the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State to be increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, delivered by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Truong - Director of Local Affairs Department I, Central Internal Affairs Committee.

This work systematizes the directives of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena, helping sectors, levels, localities, grassroots Party organizations, Party members and the people to grasp, understand and effectively implement them; reflecting the consistent and unwavering ideology of the Party's leader on the fight against corruption and negative phenomena, Party building and rectification, and the cultivation of ethics and lifestyles of cadres and Party members.

The content of these directives is drawn from rich and vivid practical experience, demonstrating the close, decisive, comprehensive, and persuasive guidance of the General Secretary and Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena; contributing to clarifying a new development in the Party's theoretical thinking on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena.

The book consists of three parts:

Part One: Some issues drawn from the practical experience of the fight against corruption and negative phenomena in Vietnam, including the General Secretary's overview article reassessing the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena in Vietnam from the establishment of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption (2013) to the present; the General Secretary's concluding remarks at national conferences on anti-corruption work and conclusions at sessions and meetings of the Steering Committee and its Standing Committee.

Part Two: Consistent with the principle of preventing corruption and negative phenomena early, from afar, and at both the root and the branches, this section selects 22 representative articles by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Party building and rectification, with particular emphasis on the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle of cadres and Party members - the root cause, the fundamental issue that needs to be prevented.

Part three: United in purpose, with clear and unwavering communication, this section compiles opinions and assessments reflecting the profound trust of all strata of the people, of National Assembly representatives, and the recognition and support of international friends in the fight against corruption and negative practices under the leadership of the Party, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's work reflects the consistent, steadfast, and creative development of Marxist-Leninist thought and Ho Chi Minh Thought on Party building and the fight against corruption and negative phenomena. It raises thought-provoking issues, provides direction, and offers many valuable solutions for the current fight against corruption and negative phenomena, helping cadres, Party members, and the people to grasp, understand, and implement these solutions effectively and extensively, contributing to building a cleaner and stronger Party and State.

Later that afternoon, delegates listened to Comrade Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, deliver a presentation on the current global, regional, and domestic affairs affecting the implementation of the province's political goals and tasks in the present period.

Based on an analysis of the global political and economic situation, and the strategic conflicts between major powers in recent years that have impacted Vietnam, including numerous difficulties and challenges, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Le Hai Binh expressed his admiration for the province's development, especially its FDI attraction in 2022 and the first half of 2023, placing it in the top 10 nationwide. Budget revenue in 2022 reached 21,805 billion VND, and the figures for the first six months of this year also exceeded the assigned target.

Placed in the context of the world and our country, Comrade Le Hai Binh believes that this is a very proud achievement, demonstrating the efforts of the Party Committee, Government, and people of Nghe An.

According to forecasts from many reputable organizations worldwide regarding the global economy, the outlook for the global economy from now until the end of 2023 and throughout 2024 is not very optimistic. The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department analyzed the impacts on our country, including Nghe An province, in order to anticipate difficulties and challenges in the coming period.

Assessing the program organized by the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for meetings and dialogues with Party secretaries, chairmen of People's Councils and People's Committees at the commune level in the province as very practical, Comrade Le Hai Binh said that, in the context as analyzed, Nghe An must further strengthen unity and promote the spirit of "unity from top to bottom, seamless communication from left to right" in order to achieve the goals and targets.

In particular, the province has the advantage of having recently received Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW from the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045. This serves as a basis and foundation, and has especially instilled a sense of pride in the people of Nghe An to continue striving to build and develop the province in the coming time.

Building on the remarkable achievements that Nghe An has made during the recent difficult period, and in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Le Hai Binh expressed confidence that, in the coming time, with the spirit of "unity from top to bottom, smooth coordination from top to bottom," Nghe An will "move strongly and go far" as General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong urged the Party Committee, Government, and people of the province.
