Son Tra District focuses resources on human resource development

Mr. Hoang Son Tra, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tra District, said that many local schools were built in 2000 after the district was established. Now many facilities are degraded and no longer meet new educational standards.

Therefore, the district has a policy of building schools that are not only beautiful but also functional and convenient for teachers and students, in order to create a solid foundation, improve the quality of education, and build future generations. These are the outstanding marks of the locality in recent times.

"A more beautiful school makes teachers love school, children love to go to school and parents are proud, thereby inspiring the spirit of good teaching and good learning. In addition to the facilities and general education program, the district also has a project to train teachers to meet the requirements of digital transformation, develop two important projects: reading culture and life skills in schools, enhance physical education, including teaching Vovinam martial arts for all levels, encourage chess, music, and painting, to create a core premise of culture and education for students to develop comprehensive culture, sports and aesthetics" - Mr. Hoang Son Tra said.

Son Tra District focuses on investing in educational facilities as well as life skills and reading culture programs to create a foundation for sustainable development for students.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Viet, Vice Chairman of Son Tra District People's Committee, added that with the characteristics of a tourist district, with a large concentration of tourists, the district has a policy of investing in educational facilities with special attention to design, so that the school is spacious, beautiful, creates a landscape and is worthy of its position as an attractive destination for tourists. The fire protection system has been completed, and the green tree system is being reviewed to supplement the green school policy.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the State budget plans to invest more than 620 billion VND in educational projects (construction and equipment) in Son Tra District. Of which, 20 projects have been handed over and put into use in the 2021 - 2023 period, with a total value of nearly 170 billion VND. In 2024, 6 projects are under construction with a value of 76.1 billion VND.

Son Tra District currently has 9 projects that have approved investment policies and are preparing technical economic reports with a total value of 88.6 billion VND, 7 projects that have approved projects with a total value of 159.8 billion VND, and 17 projects that are preparing investment proposal reports with a total value of 125.9 billion VND.
