District 1 organizes the first Science and Technology Festival in 2024

On the morning of May 10, at the District 1 Sports Center, the District 1 People's Committee coordinated with the District 1 Labor Federation to organize the first Science and Technology Festival in 2024 with the theme "Application of technology and digital transformation in administrative units, public services, and schools".

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc and representatives of city departments, branches and sectors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of District 1 People's Committee Nguyen Duy An said that the first Science and Technology Festival in 2024 is one of the activities to concretize the implementation of the city's 2024 theme "Determination to effectively implement digital transformation and Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly", and at the same time, to celebrate Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18).

Through the activities at the festival, the leaders of District 1 People's Committee hope that civil servants and public employees will better understand the contents of digital transformation, thereby transforming it into action, and be more bold in using and applying digital technology products, serving people, businesses and teaching activities in schools better.

Students are the ones who have the most opportunities to access and quickly grasp digital technology. Therefore, creating a playground for science, technology, and innovation aims to help students learn, arouse their passion for scientific creativity, and know how to apply technology to their studies and personal development.

With that goal, the festival is organized with many diverse activities such as displaying and introducing scientific, technological, innovative, and digital transformation products; organizing booths to introduce and promote scientific, technological, and innovative products in the field of education...

Along with that, the festival also organized many discussion activities, sharing experiences around topics such as AI application in public administration and education, digital transformation solutions in education - smart interactive classroom model, improving teacher capacity through combining online teaching according to international standards.

The festival takes place over 3 days, May 10, 11 and 12, promising to be a useful playground held annually for all staff, teachers, students and workers in the district.
