Technology startup Phygital Labs made an impressive presentation on applying technology to exploit heritage copyrights and promote the cultural industry; and received a certificate of merit as "Pioneering Startup in the Journey to Promote Cultural Heritage Values 2024"...
In the series of events of the 43rd World Federation of UNESCO Associations Executive Board Meeting and the International Conference "The Role and Contribution of the UNESCO Movement to the Cultural Industry" taking place on August 5, 2024 in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh, Phygital Labs technology startup was highly appreciated for bringing technology into the cultural field, creating new values, opening up a digital economic model for this field.
At the event, Mr. Huy Nguyen, Founder and General Director of Phygital Labs, contributed ideas on a new heritage economic development model through the presentation "Applying technology to exploit heritage copyrights, promoting cultural industry".
Within the framework of the event, Phygital Labs was honored to receive the title of “Pioneering Startup in the Journey to Promote Cultural Heritage Values 2024” awarded by the World Federation of UNESCO Associations. This is a recognition of Phygital Labs’ efforts in researching and applying digital identification technology to Vietnamese culture in particular, and world culture in general.
Accordingly, with the Nomion Digital Identification Solution, the copyright of heritage artifacts will be effectively exploited through three main ideas: Generating revenue from selling tickets to digital exhibitions; producing and distributing souvenirs that are certified copies of heritage artifacts; moving towards trading digital versions of heritage artifacts on digital markets, or digital physical markets.
CEO Huy Nguyen was also honored as “Pioneer of Technology in Vietnam Heritage Culture 2024”, for his outstanding, dedicated and creative contributions as a technology expert returning from Silicon Valley. “I really hope that new technologies will be the bridge to bring Vietnam’s heritage closer to its true value and create a true cultural industry”, Mr. Huy Nguyen shared.
Phygital Labs has laid the first foundation in applying Digital Physics technology to promote and preserve Vietnamese cultural values through specific projects such as: Digital identification of the Nghe Van Mieu statue, creating the first digital physics book; Digital identification of the first 10 antiquities at the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum; Launching the Metaverse cultural exhibition space integrating Apple Vision Pro, creating new experiences and new opportunities for promoting culture globally.
With ideas on applying digital physical technology to exploit heritage copyrights, contributing to promoting the cultural industry, Phygital Labs is focusing resources on developing technology, creating a solid foundation to make this model popular, contributing to making Vietnam a bright spot on the world cultural industry map.
The 43rd World Federation of UNESCO Associations (WFUCA) Executive Board Meeting and the International Conference “The Role and Contribution of the UNESCO Movement to the Cultural Industry” are particularly important international events hosted by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations, aiming to promote global education, science, culture and communication.
