On May 30, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu accused the Kiev government of repeatedly carrying out attacks on Russian citizens and affirmed that the Russian armed forces would respond strongly to the moves of the Ukrainian army.
Specifically, he said Russia will monitor the quantity and route of weapons supplies from the West to Ukraine: " When we detect them, we will attack. The Russian armed forces are responding as fiercely as possible to Ukrainian attacks on civilians in Russia with NATO weapons."

According to Mr. Shoigu, the West's military support for Kiev only prolongs the Russia-Ukraine conflict and does not affect the results of Moscow's special military campaign.
" The West's military support for Ukraine only prolongs the war and cannot affect the outcome of the special military operation," said Mr. Shoigu.
The Russian Defense Minister added that the West is supplying more and more military equipment to Ukraine and demanding that the Kiev government continue to conduct large-scale offensive operations despite heavy losses.
" Despite significant losses of the Ukrainian armed forces, the West continues to demand that the Kiev authorities conduct large-scale offensive operations. In May alone, Ukrainian losses amounted to more than 16,000 soldiers ," Shoigu added.
In addition to human losses, Ukraine also lost 16 planes, 5 helicopters, 466 drones, more than 400 tanks, 238 artillery pieces and mortars, and many other combat vehicles.
Also in May, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 29 British Storm Shadow cruise missiles and nearly 200 HIMARS long-range guided missiles. Mr. Shoigu revealed that the Russian military had destroyed another US Patriot air defense missile system in Kiev.
