The sharing session on nutrition has the participation of doctor Dao Thi Yen Thuy and actress/hot mom Tu Vi.
To support strong bones, calcium is one of the essential micronutrients that needs to be supplemented in accordance with the body's daily needs. In addition, this mineral also contributes to making the movement process more flexible and resilient. With the awareness of improving the quality of life, Vietnamese people have been paying more attention to supplementing calcium from many nutritional sources, and more specifically, from the daily meals of the whole family.
At the in-depth sharing session with the topic "Delicious meals with more calcium - Support strong bones" with Webtretho held on June 26, Dr. Dao Thi Yen Thuy - currently a nutrition expert with more than 25 years of experience in this field brought a lot of useful knowledge. "According to the report of the National Institute of Nutrition of Vietnam, the Vietnamese diet only meets 50% of the body's calcium needs" - Dr. Thuy said. Meanwhile, according to Dr. Thuy, the Ministry of Health recommends that on average, adults need 1,000 mg of calcium per day, which means that the current diet only meets about half of the actual needs.
1,000 mg of calcium per day is the amount needed for the adult body.
Ensuring that the skeletal system is always strong is the goal of supplementing enough calcium. More specifically, when provided with enough calcium, our body will limit conditions such as osteoporosis, pain and speed up the recovery process of bone fractures. In addition, calcium also plays an important role in the formation of teeth, supports nerve signal transmission and helps the body move flexibly. Therefore, at any age or gender, calcium is extremely necessary. Moreover, understanding the specific calcium needs for each age and health status is also extremely important to optimize calcium absorption every day.
According to the advice from Dr. Yen Thuy, families need to increase calcium absorption by prioritizing the combination of foods such as: freshwater shrimp (1,120 mg calcium/100 g), cheese (720 mg calcium/100 g), wood ear mushrooms (375 mg calcium/100 g), egg yolks (134 mg calcium/100 g), amaranth (341 mg calcium/100 g) or yogurt (120 mg calcium/100 g),... In addition, from the report of the World Instant Noodles Association (WINA), on average, Vietnamese people eat 85 packs of noodles/person/year, equivalent to about 1 pack every 4 days, Dr. Yen Thuy stated that adding calcium to instant noodles is also an effective solution to balance nutrition in daily meals.
Also participating in the sharing session was actress Tu Vi, who is also a hot mom that many mothers love and care about. Agreeing with the nutrition expert's opinion, Tu Vi also shared in depth about the challenge of having to find a way to balance preparing delicious, nutritious meals for the family with her busy schedule. Tu Vi revealed that her family also loves to eat noodles, so she often "indulges the family's eating habits by choosing noodles with added calcium and then processing them with vegetables and fruits to balance nutrition".
Making instant noodles with a variety of ingredients is a reasonable way to supplement calcium while still ensuring delicious taste.
To meet the increasingly high living standards, many brands have researched and added nutrients to their products to consumers to bring meals that are not only delicious but also balanced in nutrition, Hao Hao is one of them. Hao Hao noodles are now supplemented with 333 mg of calcium, providing more than 1/3 of the daily calcium requirement, supporting strong bones. With intact quality, Hao Hao has added calcium in most instant noodle products in packaged form. This is considered an effective nutritional balance solution, especially for housewives. Doctor Yen Thuy shared that when choosing noodles as the main meal, you should combine all 4 food groups including starch, fat, protein and vegetables to make the meal more delicious and nutritious.
Hao Hao has added 333 mg of calcium in most of its instant noodle products.
With easy-to-understand and easy-to-apply sharing from experienced nutritionists, we hope that delicious, nutritious, and calcium-sufficient meals will appear more regularly on the daily dining tables of millions of Vietnamese families.
