The highlight of the 9th round is the match between Phong Phu Ha Nam and Ho Chi Minh City. The team from the city named after Uncle Ho is only 1 point behind its opponent on the rankings and still has a chance to compete for the championship cup. It is easy to understand why Coach Luu Ngoc Mai asked his students to enter the match with high determination.
However, the tense nature of the match forced both teams to be cautious with every pass. In addition, Phong Phu Ha Nam's defense also showed solidity. Ho Chi Minh City's strikers did not have many opportunities to approach the goal and score. The first half ended with a 0-0 draw.

Entering the second half, Phong Phu Ha Nam was the better team but the goal came to them in a very unexpected way. In the 80th minute, from a free kick from a distance of more than 30 meters, Nguyen Thi Linh Chi took a beautiful shot to score the opening goal of the match for Phong Phu Ha Nam.
With nothing left to lose, TP.HCM poured their entire squad into the opponent's half in search of an equalizer. Unfortunately, Thuy Linh missed the free kick in the 90+3 minute and TP.HCM had to accept a 0-1 defeat. This result helped Phong Phu Ha Nam move closer to the championship as they were 4 points ahead of TP.HCM and 3 points ahead of Thai Nguyen T&T.
Than KSVN no longer has many opportunities to accumulate points and they understand that they must try to win points against Thai Nguyen T&T. However, the ambition of the mining team was soon doused with cold water shortly after the match started. In the 8th minute, taking advantage of a gap in Than KSVN's defense, Nguyen Thu Trang finished accurately from close range to open the score for Thai Nguyen T&T.
With the goal, the tea team played much more confidently. Coach Doan Viet Trieu's students controlled the match well and did not give the opponent many opportunities. The advantage was maintained for Thai Nguyen T&T until the break.
Entering the second half, Thai Nguyen T&T continued to attack and Thu Trang was the one who scored the winning goal 2-0 against Than KSVN.
