On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations, the North Bridge Foundation under the auspices of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Japan Business Association in Vietnam will organize a series of events "Connecting Book Week - Ehon week".
Taking place from October 14-22, the main theme of 'Ehon Week' is book and reading activities for children aged 0 and up.
The highlight is the exhibition of 100 Ehon comic books including the original Japanese version and Vietnamese translation, along with an exchange program with Japanese Ehon comic book author Hideko Nagano and Vietnamese author Pham Thi Hoai Anh at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam.
Next is the exhibition of original illustrations Cosette the Sparrow and The Sorrow of a Snail by Japanese artist Yasumasa Suzuki at the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.
On this occasion, 100 Ehon books will be given to the first 100 attendees of the Connecting Book Fair taking place at Du Parc Hotel Hanoi.
Bac Cau Fund is a non-profit organization that works for Vietnamese children through book projects, helping children develop their thinking, skills and creativity from an early age, contributing to nurturing a generation of Vietnamese children to develop evenly and comprehensively. |
