Reporting on the results of the coordination work in implementing Joint Resolution No. 19/2008/NQLT/CP-UBTUMTTQVN promulgating the Regulations on coordination of work between the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said: Through the implementation of the regulations on coordination of work, it has contributed to raising the awareness and responsibility of each side, promptly removing many difficulties and obstacles; effectively handling important, urgent and complicated issues that have arisen in practice; supplementing, perfecting and developing institutions and legal policies in the process of implementing the renovation policy, contributing to building and perfecting the socialist rule of law state.
The coordination contents have been implemented comprehensively, practically and aimed at solving urgent issues in people's lives, such as: Socio-economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, innovation, creativity, environmental protection... From the coordination practice, many unexpected, arising, unprecedented tasks (such as coordination in preventing and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic) have been effectively implemented by the two sides, thereby contributing significantly to socio-economic development, improving and raising people's living standards, implementing social security, especially in caring for the poor and disadvantaged areas.
The work of caring for and ensuring the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People has been focused on, carried out comprehensively and effectively through the coordination of law-making, social supervision and criticism, synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and the People, making practical contributions to promoting democracy in all activities of social life, thereby enhancing social consensus and consolidating the great national unity bloc...
Also at the Conference, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son presented a report reviewing the implementation of the Prime Minister's conclusions; the process of drafting the joint resolution and synthesizing opinions of ministries and branches on the recommendations and proposals of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the Conference, delegates discussed the signing of the Joint Resolution to further promote the coordination between the Government and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the coming time. Delegates suggested that there should be a mechanism to attract more resources from businessmen, enterprises, scientists, especially those abroad to join hands in building and developing the country; the content of the Joint Resolution should be put into practice and clearly state specific tasks and products; there should be policies and more resources should be invested in the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien affirmed that the signing and implementation of the Coordination Regulations between the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee has created an important legal basis to strengthen the working coordination relationship between the two sides to be increasingly closer, more substantial and more effective; contributing to improving the effectiveness of the Government's state management and innovating and improving the quality of the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to build social consensus, consolidate the great national unity bloc, create stability and development to well perform the tasks of socio-economic development, ensure national defense, security, foreign affairs, build the Party, State and a clean and strong political system of the country...
Removing difficulties and obstacles, promptly responding to the legitimate aspirations of the people
Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the signing of the Joint Resolution on coordination between the two sides is extremely necessary, concretizing the policy of the 8th Central Conference, 13th tenure on continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity to successfully carry out the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period, building the country to be increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy; at the same time, continuing to implement the mechanism of Party leadership, State management, and people's mastery.
Recalling five lessons in national construction and development and the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the People and the strength of the great national unity bloc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that in the past time, in the context of fewer opportunities and advantages than difficulties and challenges, thanks to the comprehensive leadership and direction of the Central Executive Committee, often directly by the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; the close coordination of the National Assembly and agencies in the political system; the support of the people and businesses; the support of international friends; the proactive, flexible, drastic, timely and effective leadership, direction and management of the Government, the Prime Minister, all levels, sectors and localities, the socio-economic development situation has achieved many positive results, "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today".

Most recently, Vietnam is a latecomer but ahead in the strategy of COVID-19 vaccine prevention and control; economic and social recovery and development. In the first 9 months of 2023, the macro economy continued to be maintained stable; inflation was controlled; major balances of the economy were ensured; the fields of culture, society, education, and health were focused on; social security and people's lives continued to be improved; national defense and security were maintained; social order and safety were basically ensured; the work of preventing corruption and negativity continued to be strengthened; foreign affairs and international integration were promoted, and our country's position and prestige in the international arena were enhanced.
The Prime Minister affirmed: The overall success of the whole country has positive and important contributions from the close, increasingly effective and substantive coordination between the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Appreciating and thanking the close coordination, unity and solidarity of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front with the Government over the past 15 years, the Prime Minister respectfully requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front to continue to coordinate closely and in depth with the Government, join hands and unite in implementing the tasks set by each side, striving to realize the goal of a rich people, a strong country, a democratic, equitable and civilized society.
In particular, focusing on successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, especially in carrying out the 6 key tasks and 3 strategic breakthroughs; identifying Party building as the key; economic development, building and promoting an advanced culture imbued with national identity as the center; ensuring security and national defense as a regular and important task; promoting the strength of the nation and the times to build and protect the fatherland, and respond to unusual issues.
The Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to continue to promote their core role so that the people can be the masters; create social consensus, consensus between the State and the people, build a position of people's hearts, promote the strength of solidarity and consensus of the people at home and abroad to build and defend the Fatherland, as President Ho Chi Minh taught: "Great national unity is not only the top goal and task of the Party but also the top goal and task of the whole nation".
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front to coordinate more closely with the Government in researching and perfecting institutions, mechanisms, policies and laws, creating all conditions for the People to exercise their mastery, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management combined with methods of mobilizing and gathering the People; continue to promote the core role in mobilizing the People to effectively carry out socio-economic development tasks; the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations to better perform their role of social supervision and criticism; promote the active role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in participating in controlling power.

The Prime Minister affirmed that, with the motto of "don't say no, don't say difficult, don't say yes but don't do" and "high mountains have paths, dangerous roads have paths", the Government, the Prime Minister, members of the Government, leaders of ministries and branches will continue to coordinate closely to implement the signed contents, especially continue to pay attention, listen and directly grasp the people's situation through the feedback of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles, promptly responding to the legitimate aspirations of the people.
Regarding specific proposals and recommendations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that a number of proposals and recommendations are under the authority and responsibility of ministries and branches and are being actively implemented. Regarding specific proposals on living expenses for members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and provincial and district-level Fatherland Front Committees; the regime of expenses for reception, visits and congratulations for a number of subjects managed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at provincial and district levels; developing and approving projects on training cadres of the Front at all levels, digital transformation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, improving the quality of supervision and social criticism activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; implementing the Campaign "All people unite to protect the environment, improve the quality of people's lives"; building the Vietnam Fatherland Front Museum..., the Prime Minister basically agreed to coordinate to resolve, on the basis of flexibly applying current regulations, requesting the Vietnam Fatherland Front to coordinate in preparation and requesting ministries and branches to urgently handle and develop a project to report to the Government for consideration and decision.
At the Conference, on behalf of the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chairman Do Van Chien signed a joint resolution on coordination between the two sides in the new period. In particular, the two sides continue to closely coordinate in: gathering and building the great national unity bloc; in ethnic and religious affairs; propaganda and mobilization work for the people; protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; building legal policies; election work; social supervision, criticism and inspection activities; preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; making recommendations and resolving and responding to recommendations of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...
