Close coordination, successful organization of live television broadcast of 70 years of the North rally event

On the morning of October 8, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session with Vietnam Television on coordinating the implementation of a live television broadcast to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Northward regrouping event.

Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments, branches and the Documentary Film Center, Vietnam Television.

Implementing the direction of the Standing Member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, the 70th Anniversary of the Northward Regrouping Event (1954-2024) will take place at the provincial level, chaired by Ca Mau province, in coordination with relevant agencies and units.

The live television program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Northward rally event will be carried out at 3 locations: Ca Mau, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong , chaired by the Central Propaganda Department, directed by Vietnam Television. The program is scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 26, 2024, broadcast on VTV1 channel, relayed on local Radio and Television stations and digital platforms. The expected audience at each location is from 2,000 to 3,000 people.

Up to now, the Documentary Film Center, Vietnam Television has completed the preliminary script for this television program. Accordingly, the program is called "A common Vietnamese foundation", consisting of 3 chapters. Chapter 1 is called "A common foundation, the desire for unification", recreating the historical context of the event of regrouping to the North, the correct decisions of President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee. Chapter 1 also has touching stories of many young people in the South who were willing to leave their homeland and family to set out with the desire for the day of complete unification.

Chapter 2 is called “A common cause, a loyal band of iron”. These are touching stories about comradeship and brotherhood. Although the people of the North still faced difficulties and shortages, they always gave their best to their children in the South. This contributed to the successful implementation of the strategy of President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee in preparing revolutionary forces for the movement to liberate the nation in the South and unify the country.

With the title "A common cause, glorifying Vietnam", chapter 3 affirms the significance of the event of regrouping to the North. At the same time, it shares the stories of the return of the children of the South after 21 years of regrouping. Each person has a different job, but all contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, united, contributing to the cause and strength of Vietnam...

Participating in the conference, leaders of Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station and related departments and branches discussed and requested the Documentary Film Center and Vietnam Television to clarify the tasks in organizing the live television program, as a basis for coordination.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Dao Xuan Yen highlighted the great historical significance of the event of regrouping to the North. At the same time, he affirmed that the coordination of organizing a live television bridge to celebrate the 70th anniversary of this event had been clearly identified by the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and the attention paid to leadership and direction of the organization to do a good job of coordinating with Vietnam Television.

He suggested that the Documentary Film Center and Vietnam Television need to unify the timeline of the gathering event to the North according to proven history. At the same time, it is necessary to add more images and documents about the event of the Thanh Hoa Party Committee and People welcoming the Southern people to the North and images of Thanh Hoa homeland in chapter 1 of the live television program "A common Vietnamese foundation"...

Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung requested the Documentary Film Center and Vietnam Television to soon complete the detailed script of the live television program commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Northward rally, as a basis for the province to assign coordination work.

He assigned Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station to coordinate and advise the province on a plan to assign specific responsibilities and tasks to relevant departments and branches. After that, the Provincial People's Committee will direct relevant departments and branches to develop and implement plans and solutions to ensure conditions such as electricity, security and order, fire prevention and fighting, human resources, etc. to ensure the successful organization of the program at the Thanh Hoa province bridge.
