Before becoming Deputy Chief Prosecutor of An Giang Provincial People's Procuracy, Mr. Thanh worked as Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Tinh Bien District People's Procuracy; Intermediate Prosecutor - Chief Prosecutor of Tinh Bien District People's Procuracy, An Giang Province.

He is also an individual related to the conclusion of the Central Inspection Committee on a number of violations by the An Giang Provincial People's Procuracy.

Previously, at the 22nd session held in early November 2022, the Central Inspection Committee continued to implement the conclusions of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity and the conclusions of the Central Inspection Committee at the 20th session, regarding a number of party organizations and party members in An Giang province. In which, Mr. Thanh was disciplined with a warning.

Through inspection when there were signs of violations against the Party Executive Committee of the An Giang Provincial People's Procuracy, the Central Inspection Committee determined that this Party organization violated the principle of democratic centralism and the Working Regulations; and did not strictly implement the direction of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity.

This Party organization was also determined to have loosened its leadership and direction, and lacked inspection and supervision, allowing many lower-level Party organizations and Party members to violate Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned tasks, especially in serious and complicated cases and incidents of public concern.

The Party's inspection agency said these were violations that had lasted for many years but were slow to detect and handle, causing serious consequences.

This has caused many cadres and party members in the above agencies to be disciplined and criminally prosecuted; caused bad public opinion in society, affected the effectiveness and efficiency of the fight against crime, corruption, and negativity, and the reputation of party organizations and functional agencies.

Responsibility for the above violations and shortcomings, according to the Central Inspection Commission, belongs to party organizations and a number of leaders and former leaders of the unit.
