At a meeting with Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang congratulated the Frelimo Party on winning the majority of city councils in the local elections in October 2023.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship with Mozambique.
Delighted with the positive development of the bilateral relationship in all areas in recent times, including the visit to Mozambique by the Vice President of Vietnam in September 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang affirmed that the senior leaders of Vietnam wish to soon welcome the President to pay an official visit to Vietnam.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked Mozambique to create conditions for Vietnam to import coal on a long-term basis; soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the mineral sector, a Memorandum of Understanding on fisheries cooperation and a Memorandum of Understanding on digital partnership cooperation; and support Movitel Company to participate in digital transformation projects of the Frelimo Party, the Government and the National Assembly of Mozambique.
President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi affirmed that Mozambique highly values its traditional friendship with Vietnam and said he will soon arrange an official visit to Vietnam in 2024.
Agreeing with the Deputy Prime Minister's proposals regarding the signing of documents, President Nyusi affirmed that he would direct relevant agencies of Mozambique to actively coordinate implementation; propose Vietnamese enterprises to invest, directly exploit and process minerals in Mozambique for export to Vietnam.
The President also welcomed Vietnam's increased cooperation in fisheries, sending a delegation to Mozambique to study appropriate forms of cooperation; and hoped that Vietnam would share its experiences in agricultural production, especially rice, sweet potatoes, and high-yield agricultural products.

At a meeting with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing friendly relations and good multifaceted cooperation with traditional friends, including the Czech Republic.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the relationship between the two countries has continued to develop positively in many areas in recent times, with delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels taking place regularly, especially the official visit to Vietnam by the Czech Prime Minister in April 2023, which achieved many important results.
The Deputy Prime Minister also agreed that after 3 years of implementing the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), trade turnover between the two countries has grown positively, expected to reach nearly 1 billion USD in 2023; he suggested that the Czech Republic continue to speak out to urge other EU countries to soon ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) to facilitate equal and mutually beneficial investment cooperation between businesses of both sides.

Prime Minister Petr Fiala recalled his good impressions of his recent visit to Vietnam, especially the meetings with senior Vietnamese leaders and the organization of the Business Forum with the participation of many businesses from both sides, demonstrating not only good political relations but also good economic cooperation; he suggested that both sides continue to promote the exchange of delegations at high and all levels.
The Czech Prime Minister said that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic is highly regarded for its diligence, hard work, and studiousness, making positive contributions not only to the local socio-economic development but also to the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries; agreed that the two countries should continue to promote labor cooperation, especially skilled labor; suggested that the two sides expand cooperation in the defense industry and promote the early opening of direct flights between the two countries.
