On August 10, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, surveyed and worked with Dam Ha district on the implementation of the assignment of marine aquaculture areas, some high-tech agricultural production models and the implementation of some specific policies to encourage sustainable forestry development.
Dam Ha district currently manages over 8,695 hectares of tidal flat land and water surface for aquaculture. To implement the allocation of marine areas for aquaculture, the district has issued a plan for the allocation and lease of tidal flat land, coastal land with water surface, and marine areas for aquaculture; strengthened management; established a team to assist in reviewing licensing application files; approved plans and diagrams for the use of marine space; coordinated with relevant agencies to remove obstacles to complete licensing application files... Up to now, the whole district has 2 organizations and individuals that have been allocated and leased marine areas with an area of 75.2 hectares; 11 cooperatives with aquaculture needs with an area of over 984 hectares are drawing lots, assigning farming locations to members, preparing documents, and carrying out procedures according to regulations. The district has established a detailed 1/1000 plan for concentrated aquaculture in tidal flats and seawater in Tan Binh, Tan Lap, Dai Binh, and Dam Ha communes, thereby leasing land for aquaculture with an area of over 527 hectares.
In the district, there are currently 5 high-tech agricultural production models including: Project on producing shrimp seeds and raising commercial shrimp with super-intensive technology in greenhouses, producing high-quality marine fish seeds, growing vegetables, tubers and fruits in greenhouses, joint production of Dam Ha chickens, and growing organic passion fruit.
The district is coordinating to complete documents and projects to submit to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for comments on the project of applying high-tech agriculture to Dam Ha aquaculture and Dam Ha dairy farming.
Regarding the implementation of a number of specific policies to encourage sustainable forestry development according to Resolution 37/2024/NQ-HDND, from 2022 to present, the total area of large timber plantation in the district is 180.6 hectares.
At the meeting, delegates discussed and clarified difficulties in assigning aquaculture sea areas and resolving environmental impact assessment records...
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested departments and branches to continue to guide and remove obstacles and difficulties to speed up the progress of handing over the aquaculture sea area; create favorable conditions to guide and coordinate with Dam Ha district to submit to the Prime Minister for approval the Project on High-tech Agricultural Zone for Aquaculture and complete the dossier of the Project on High-tech Application of Dairy Cow Breeding in Dam Ha; deploy models of applying science and technology in production. He also requested departments and branches to review and synthesize recommendations from enterprises, cooperatives and Dam Ha district to report to the Provincial People's Committee.
The working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee conducted a survey at the Viet-Uc Group and a number of aquaculture cooperatives in Dam Ha district.
