This afternoon, March 14, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam had a meeting with Mr. Cormack Darren William, Executive Director of MAG Organization (UK) and members of the working delegation during their visit and work in Quang Tri.

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam gave an overview of the history, land and people of Quang Tri. According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam, after the war, the lives of Quang Tri people faced many difficulties due to the pollution of bombs, mines and explosives.

Therefore, the support of organizations and projects, including MAG, is extremely valuable and has great significance for the province. Over the past 25 years, MAG has actively coordinated with all levels, sectors, units in the province and organizations and projects to create many advances in mine action activities, helping the people of Quang Tri have a safer life.

Acknowledging and appreciating the support of MAG, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam expressed his deep gratitude and hoped that in the coming time, the organization will continue to improve its operational efficiency, actively support the province in overcoming the consequences of bombs and mines, contributing to helping the province soon achieve the goal of building a "safe province"; closely coordinate with relevant organizations, projects and units to soon complete the survey and complete mapping of dangerous areas in the area; support the Provincial Steering Committee for overcoming the consequences of bombs and mines and related units to improve their capacity and operational efficiency.
