A representative of the provincial Tax Department said that Construction Joint Stock Company 16 currently owes 14.7 billion VND in taxes. Previously, the company had paid additional tax arrears and requested to open a single invoice, however, the provincial Tax Department responded in writing that the company did not meet the conditions.
Based on the opinions of Vinh city and related departments, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh shared with the residents of Vinaconex 16 Building that the time to buy a house has been extended but the Land Use Rights Certificate has not been granted. Affirming that the province will focus on resolving this problem, he requested the Nghe An Tax Department, based on the people's petition, to determine the tax debt at a specific time to ask for the General Department of Taxation's opinion on the handling plan. The Provincial People's Committee will coordinate to send a document to Vinaconex Corporation to get opinions on the debt handling issue. In essence, this is a civil dispute between customers and investors, although not encouraged, if necessary, the two parties can bring it to court.

Accordingly, in case Cua Lo town prepares to merge into Vinh city, Vinh City People's Committee should also participate to be ready to handle problems.
