This morning, October 27, Permanent Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong inspected the response to storm No. 6 in Gio Linh and Vinh Linh districts.

In localities, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong inspected the coastal areas of Cua Viet town, Gio Linh district and Cua Tung town, Vinh Linh district.
According to a quick report from Gio Linh district, heavy rain and high waves caused some shops to collapse, including 4 shops at Gio Hai beach that collapsed completely; many sections of the coastal embankment under construction were eroded. In Cua Viet town, some sections of Nguyen Huu Tho street were eroded. Local authorities mobilized forces to reinforce and brace houses and bring boats to safe shelters.

In Vinh Linh district, heavy rain and strong winds caused fishing boat QT - 21093TS anchored at Cua Tung Storm Shelter to sink. Heavy rain has also caused some communes to be partially flooded; the river water is rising rapidly, close to the edge of the left bank of Ben Hai River and about to overflow the bank.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested localities and units to seriously organize on-duty shifts, closely monitor news and warnings about the storm's developments, promptly direct and deploy response work with the "4 on-site" motto according to assigned tasks and authorities.
Regarding landslides on Nguyen Huu Tho Street in Cua Viet Town, in the face of the risk of strong water flow causing erosion in this area, local authorities are required to place warning signs and block off areas where people and vehicles are not allowed to pass through; at the same time, arrange forces to be on duty, closely monitor developments, provide information, and report promptly according to regulations; and have plans to evacuate people and property from dangerous areas.
