Continuing the gratitude activities in Quang Tri province, this afternoon, July 6, the working delegation led by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and children in difficult circumstances in Trieu Phong district. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee Ho Thi Thu Hang also attended.

In Trieu Phong district, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and leaders of Quang Tri province presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Chanh in Ba Tu village, Trieu Lang commune; 40 families with meritorious services, poor households and 20 disadvantaged children with excellent academic performance. The Vietnam Children's Fund also presented Trieu Phong district with VND200 million to carry out child care and protection work.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan praised families of meritorious people, poor households, and children in difficult circumstances for their efforts to gradually stabilize their lives and studies.

At the same time, Quang Tri province, despite many socio-economic difficulties, has always made efforts and paid attention to taking good care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families with meritorious services to the revolution, and poor households; the work of protecting, caring for, and educating children has achieved many positive results.

Promoting the tradition and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hopes that in the coming time, Quang Tri province will continue to effectively implement the work of gratitude and social security.

In particular, focus on better implementing the work of caring for policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, the poor in implementing the regime, supporting housing construction, creating jobs for children of martyrs' families, wounded and sick soldiers; protecting, caring for, developing, and educating children... From there, promptly helping families overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Delegates respectfully laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives heroically in the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel, creating momentum for the general offensive and uprising of the entire nation in the Spring of 1975, completely liberating the South and reunifying the country.
