NDO - On the evening of October 18, in Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit and work with Kim Boi district, the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Kim Boi district and received the Third Class Labor Medal.

On September 19, 1964, Kim Boi was honored and proud to welcome Uncle Ho to visit and work with the Kim Boi District Party Committee. Uncle Ho kindly reminded each place about food, living habits, intensive farming methods, and production methods to achieve high efficiency.

The event of Uncle Ho visiting and working with Kim Boi District Party Committee is not only a source of encouragement and valuable guidance for the District Party Committee's cadres, but also a source of pride and motivation for all ethnic people in the district.

Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, cadres and people of all ethnic groups in the district have strived to overcome difficulties, boost production, be ready to fight, maintain security, and are determined to fulfill their duty as a solid rear base for the great southern front; successfully carry out local political goals and tasks; and gain many great achievements in all aspects.

Kim Boi district was established under Decree No. 153 of the Prime Minister issued on April 17, 1959 with 22 initial communes; on December 17, 2019, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 830 Kim Boi district including 1 town and 27 communes.

Kim Boi is one of the cradles of Hoa Binh culture, with the ancient name of Muong Dong - one of the four famous Muong regions of the province (Muong Bi, Muong Vang, Muong Thang, Muong Dong).

The history of Kim Boi is closely linked to the history of the nation's struggle for liberation. In particular, on May 11, 1947, the Nat Son Party Cell - the first Party Cell of Kim Boi district was established.

From here, the Party Cell led the revolutionary movement to develop strongly in many other communes, building Kim Boi district into a solid revolutionary base.

Kim Boi was also the place where the first Hoa Binh Provincial Party Congress was held (held from May 21 to 25, 1948 at Dinh Lap - Lap hamlet, Lap Chieng commune, now Lap hamlet, Kim Lap commune).

The past 65 years have been a journey of arduous struggle and sacrifice for the Party Committee and people of Kim Boi district: steadfastly fighting against foreign invaders, reactionary lackeys of colonialism and feudalism; struggling against harsh natural conditions to rise up, with great achievements, brilliant feats of arms, contributing to the common victory and strong development of Hoa Binh province.

At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, on behalf of the Party, State and Government, sent congratulations and shared joy with the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Kim Boi district for the important achievements over the past 65 years that are very proud; these are the common achievements of generations of leaders, cadres, party members, armed forces and people in the whole district who have overcome all difficulties and challenges, joined hands, unanimously, persistently and determinedly strived to build Kim Boi district to develop more and more.

The road ahead opens up many development opportunities for Kim Boi, but also many new difficulties and challenges. With a favorable geographical location, being the gateway to the capital Hanoi, the plain provinces and the Northwestern mountainous provinces, along with the attention of the State, large-scale investment projects will create many advantages for Kim Boi to make breakthroughs in economic and social development; at the same time, it will also create great pressure on environmental protection, preserving national cultural identity...

To achieve that, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan requested Party committees at all levels, authorities and people of all ethnic groups in Kim Boi district to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition and achievements gained in the past time, and perform well a number of tasks: Continuously studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; associated with Party building work, building a clean and strong political system...

Implement well the planning of districts, communes and towns as a basis for construction management, investment attraction, and socio-economic development. Focus on effectively exploiting the district's existing potential and strengths in tourism and sustainable, high-quality agricultural production; on the basis of the mechanisms and policies issued by the Party and the State, combine and integrate resources to invest in socio-economic development; effectively implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2030; accelerate and improve the quality of new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction.

Directing and implementing well key projects in the area such as: Hoa Binh-Hanoi regional road project; Project of ecological urban area, high-class entertainment and cable car system in Kim Boi and Cuoi Ha communes; Project of connecting road from National Highway 6 to Du Sang commune to open a new door in exploiting the potential and strengths of the district, especially effectively exploiting Kim Boi "Mineral Water Mine", creating space for tourism development, increasing economic income.

Preserving and promoting the values ​​of cultural and ethnic identity, especially Muong ethnic culture, to create a unique, outstanding and distinctive feature of Kim Boi in the eyes of friends near and far and tourists...

The Vice President believes that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Kim Boi district will always keep in mind Uncle Ho's teachings and continue to achieve even greater results; constantly strive to make the "Golden Grail" land always a large, peaceful and sustainable revolutionary base; become a model district rich, beautiful, civilized and modern, where the people are increasingly prosperous, peaceful and happy.
