The event is scheduled to take place on June 8 and 9 at the Binh Dinh Center for Science Discovery and Innovation, jointly organized by the Provincial People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association and NASA. Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to be selected by NASA for this event.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha, Director of the Center for Science Discovery and Innovation, said that the program aims to learn more about the scientific and technological advances of NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). During the event, students and staff can interact and talk directly with astronauts to better understand life and missions in space.
The event also had the participation of a number of Vietnamese experts knowledgeable in astrophysics and space science to discuss this field.

In addition to discussing with astronauts, the event also has interesting experiences at NASA STEM Activities such as: exploring the night sky, experiencing Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR), watching Drone demonstrations or Hologram Tube of Astronaut light show...
Scientists will also share scientific research on how to protect the Earth, avoid environmental pollution, and warn of the risk of collision with other planets and extraterrestrial life. This is also an event to inspire and promote the passion for scientific research and world exploration among young people.
NASA Week in Vietnam is organized to promote the development roadmap of space science research in Binh Dinh. At the previous working session of Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, the leaders of Binh Dinh province proposed to develop the Center for Science Discovery and Innovation into a space technology research and application facility to implement the Government's Strategy for the Development and Application of Space Science and Technology.
