Approval of the Educational Cooperation Agreement between Vietnam and Belarus

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Government has just issued Resolution No. 36/NQ-CP approving the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of education (Agreement).

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son and Minister of Education Ivanets Andrei Ivanovich signed the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Belarus in the field of education and training.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall carry out the necessary foreign procedures for the Agreement to come into effect and notify the Agreement of its coming into effect as prescribed.

The Ministry of Education and Training shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to organize the implementation of the Agreement after it is approved by the Government.

This Resolution comes into force from March 25, 2024.

* The cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Belarus was established in 1992, but cooperation in the field of education and training existed 30 years before that.

According to the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of education, the two sides will cooperate in exchanging experiences in the most important development directions of the education system; jointly conduct scientific research in the fields of natural sciences, technical sciences, social sciences - humanities and pedagogical sciences of interest to both sides; provide training at bachelor, master and doctoral levels; organize training courses, improve qualifications, scientific internships, and retraining for education staff; exchange experts to improve teaching work.

The two Parties shall promote the establishment and development of cooperative relations between higher education institutions of the two Parties, and based on common interests, these higher education institutions may sign separate cooperation agreements, in accordance with the terms of this Agreement and the laws of each Party.

During the validity of the Agreement, the two sides will annually exchange a maximum of 15 international students for full-time study. The two sides will annually send a maximum of 5 teaching staff from higher education institutions to the receiving party's educational institutions for training and improving their qualifications...
