
On July 23-24, at the Quan The Am Buddhist Spiritual Tourism Center (Tu Tuong Mountain, Bang Lang Village, Thuy Bang Commune, Hue City), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thua Thien Hue Province solemnly organized the Quan The Am Festival, Buddhist calendar 2568, commemorating the offering on the birthday of Bodhisattva Quan The Am.
This is an event in a series of activities of the "Hue in Autumn" festival, within the framework of Hue Festival 2024.

Within the framework of the festival, to express condolences and commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Thua Thien Hue province solemnly held a prayer and memorial service on the morning of July 24.
The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Thua Thien Hue province also adjusted the festival programs accordingly.
Accordingly, traditional Buddhist rituals praying for national peace and prosperity will take place as usual. Some activities and programs during the festival will be suspended, such as: opening of the camp, performances, exhibitions, lectures, offerings, etc.

Thousands of monks, nuns and Buddhists attended the Quan The Am festival to respectfully commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Buddhists from all over come to Tu Tuong mountain to attend the Quan The Am festival, Buddhist year 2568.

This year's Quan The Am Festival is organized by Most Venerable Thich Khe Chon (holding the rosary), Vice President of the Executive Council, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thua Thien Hue Province.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Quan The Am festival is a powerful testament to a culture imbued with national and Buddhist identity, an inseparable blend of national character and religious culture.

Buddhist Nguyen Cuu Yen Vy, a student of Thien Huong Pagoda (Hue City) went to Tu Tuong Mountain to offer flowers and incense to celebrate the Quan The Am festival.
The annual Quan The Am festival attracts many Buddhist families in Hue to offer incense and flowers.
This year's event attracted even more people because of the memorial service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

There are two paths leading up to the statue of Quan The Am, the main gate in front of the statue, in the middle of the slope is divided into two paths with one side having 145 steps built of cement. Many people often choose this path to show their sincerity when coming here to pray for luck.
Incense sticks on water bottles are a familiar image at the Quan The Am statue area, not only during festivals but also on normal days when this place attracts many people to visit and pray.
The Quan The Am Statue Relic Center (locals often call it the Standing Buddha statue, Lady Buddha) was built in 1968 on the top of Tu Tuong mountain, Thuy Bang commune, Hue city.
Every year, on the occasion of Buddha's birthday, the first day of the lunar month, the full moon day, and the beginning of the new year, the Quan The Am statue attracts a large number of Buddhists and people from all over the country to make pilgrimages here to pray for blessings, fortune, and to visit and enjoy the scenery.
