On the morning of October 5, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference on production development and linking consumption of some agricultural products in the 2023 winter crop.

In the 2023 winter crop, Thai Binh province strives to plant 38,500 hectares or more of various crops, an increase of 1,500 hectares compared to the 2023 crop production plan. The main crops are potatoes, corn, chili, and various vegetables. The winter crop production value strives to reach 3,400 billion VND or more, an increase of 2% compared to the 2022 winter crop.

To achieve the target of area and value, one of the main solutions is to develop plans to promote products, consume fresh agricultural products; link processing of products such as radishes, cucumbers, potatoes, etc. to build product brands for each locality.
Officers of the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management introduced Resolution No. 40/2020/NQ-HDND dated December 9, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council.
In order to promote the consumption of agricultural products in the winter crop of 2023, the agricultural sector will promote communication, promotion and introduction of safe agricultural products of the province and the potential of production and business establishments in the province, creating conditions to provide official information for consumers to know, choose products and businesses to seek opportunities for cooperation and development. Actively coordinate with relevant units to organize the introduction of production and business establishments to participate in fairs and conferences to introduce products in localities inside and outside the province.
The conference is an opportunity to connect businesses, cooperatives, and farming households producing and trading agricultural products to discuss and clarify solutions to promote linkage and consumption of agricultural products; application of science and technology in production; solutions to build large-scale concentrated commodity production areas in a safe direction; procedures for granting growing area codes... Delegates were also introduced to Resolution No. 40/2020/NQ-HDND dated December 9, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council approving the policy to support linkage in production and consumption of agricultural products in Thai Binh province for the period 2021 - 2025.
At the conference, a memorandum of understanding was signed between T9 Agricultural Products Import-Export Company Limited and An Ninh Commune Agricultural Service Cooperative (Quynh Phu), An Chau Commune Agricultural Service Cooperative (Dong Hung) in linking and consuming winter chili plants.
