Recently, the Francophone University Organization (AUF) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) coordinated with Hanoi University of Science and Technology to organize a seminar on "Career development for Francophone students in the field of science and technology: Opportunities and challenges".

The seminar aims to create a space for exchange between students, alumni, teachers in charge of training programs in cooperation with Francophone in the field of science and technology at a number of universities in Hanoi, representatives of domestic and foreign organizations and businesses.

Speaking at the Seminar, Associate Professor Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that although the school has diverse training cooperation with partners in many different countries and has nearly 20 training programs entirely in English, it still values ​​and wishes to preserve and develop French-language training programs.

"This comes from the desire to diversify cultures on the campus of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, diversify students' career development paths, and also from the long-standing relationship, appreciation and trust in Francophone partners," Associate Professor Huynh Dang Chinh emphasized.

At the Seminar, Associate Professor Huynh Dang Chinh also hopes that each participant can draw useful information and see more clearly what each element needs to do to bring better career development opportunities for Francophone students in the field of science and technology.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology has been a member of the Francophone University Organization (AUF) since 1992 and has a long-standing cooperative relationship with Francophone partners, especially in the field of training cooperation. In addition to Bachelor and Engineering training programs, Hanoi University of Science and Technology also promotes the development of dual Master's degree training programs and joint doctoral student supervision programs with French partner universities such as TelecomParis Sud University, CNAM University, Clermont-Auvergne University, etc.

Mr. Laurent Sermet - Director of the Francophone University Organization in the Asia-Pacific region emphasized: "We recognize the success of the training programs in cooperation with France and the students trained at Hanoi University of Science and Technology". At the same time, he expressed his hope that Francophone students will maintain and contribute to the common development of the Francophone community in general and the 3 parties organizing the Dialogue in particular.

Also at the Seminar, representatives of businesses and business associations from Vietnam and France... exchanged experiences and gave advice to students studying science and technology who want to learn about job opportunities in businesses that use French.

Currently, there are over 500 students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology studying cooperative training programs with France such as: High-quality Engineer Training Program (PFIEV) in Aviation Engineering and Industrial Informatics (implemented since 1999); Vietnam-France Bachelor of Information Technology Program (implemented since 2022 with the predecessor being the PFIEV Program in Information Technology and the Engineer Training Program specializing in Information Systems Design and Management in cooperation with Grenoble University (INP).
