(BGDT) - On July 11, Bac Giang Provincial Police held a conference to evaluate the coordination between the Provincial Police, Provincial Youth Union, and Department of Education and Training on promoting the pioneering role of youth, teachers, and students in propagating and guiding people to register and activate electronic identification accounts (EDAs).

Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department chaired. Also attending were comrades: Than Trung Kien, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Nguyen Van Them, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training.

Leaders of 3 units: Provincial Police, Provincial Youth Union, Department of Education and Training chaired the conference to evaluate the results of implementing the Coordination Plan.

On May 24, 2023, the leaders of the three units signed Coordination Plan No. 223/KHPH-CAT-TĐ-SGDĐT to mobilize union members, youth, students, and teachers to participate in propaganda and guide people to register and activate mobile phone accounts, from the date of signing until June 30, 2023.

Immediately after that, the Department of Education and Training mobilized more than 21,200 officials, teachers and students to directly participate. The Provincial Youth Union mobilized members to "go to every alley, knock on every door, check every household" to implement; assigned a target for each member to guide at least 15 people to successfully install and activate their accounts.

As of June 30, the province had received 1,335,543 mobile phone records; activated 774,127 cases, reaching 100.5%, exceeding the assigned target. Union members, youth, teachers, and students guided citizens in installing and receiving level 1 accounts in 709,169 cases, of which 298,783 accounts were activated.

Comrade Than Trung Kien presented Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Police Director to individuals with outstanding achievements.

At the conference, comrades Than Trung Kien and Nguyen Van Them discussed and clarified the solutions and results achieved. In the future, the Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Education and Training will continue to implement tasks to increase the rate of mobile phone account activation.

The Provincial Youth Union directed the integration of propaganda activities, instructing people to install and activate the entire account in the "Summer Youth Volunteer 2023" campaign; selected Tan Yen District Youth Union to deploy a pilot model.

In conclusion, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan emphasized that the implementation of mobile phone account installation and activation plays an important role in building a digital platform, the core for implementing the digital citizen system, then the digital economy, and digital government. Each sector has good practices and valuable experience in implementing common tasks.

The provincial police requested units to continue to coordinate in implementing the contents of Project 06; direct union members, youth, teachers, and students to closely coordinate with police forces at all levels. Step up propaganda, guidance, registration, and activation of mobile phone accounts for 100% of eligible citizens in the area, striving to complete before December 15, 2023.

In addition to the tasks of Project 06, the District and City Police proactively advise and coordinate with the Youth Union and schools across the province to deploy the work of ensuring general security and order, and to disseminate knowledge on drug prevention, school violence, and cybercrime... to students and Youth Union members across the province.

On this occasion, the Provincial Police Director awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 groups and 25 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Coordination Plan.

Activating electronic identification account: Breaking through the competition during peak period

(BGDT) - During the "60-day, night" peak competition to receive applications for citizen identification cards (CCCD) and activate electronic identification accounts (EDAs), Bac Giang achieved 100.5% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Public Security, ranking 7th nationwide. This is the result of the continuous efforts of the Provincial Project 06/CP Working Group.
