It can be mentioned that in the field of economic development, prestigious people have actively encouraged people to change the structure of crops and livestock, apply science and technology to production, helping people increase their income. Many people have become shining examples in economic development, legitimate enrichment, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas. A typical example is Mr. Ma Reng (born in 1964, residing in Ka Do commune, Don Duong district) is one of 8 prestigious people of Lam Dong province who were honored at the Conference to commend and honor advanced models who are prestigious people among ethnic minorities nationwide in 2023, taking place in mid-December, in Hanoi. Expressing his joy, Mr. Ma Reng said that attending the conference is an opportunity for him to meet other prestigious village elders and village chiefs to learn, improve his propaganda and mobilization skills, and contribute to the development of the lives of ethnic minorities in the locality. Over the years, Mr. Ma Reng has always been exemplary, taking the lead in local emulation movements. Not resigned to poverty, he not only strives to improve his family's economy, but also actively mobilizes people to change the structure of crops and livestock, and increase income. Having held many roles as Village Chief and Head of the Village Front Work Committee in Ka Do, Mr. Ma Reng has always been loved by everyone. Thanks to the trust of the people, he has many times contributed to reconciling disputes and conflicts in the locality, helping to maintain security, order and peace in the village and hamlet. Along with that, Lam Dong Provincial Ethnic Committee as well as local authorities always listen to the thoughts and aspirations of prestigious people and have appropriate solutions. Policies and regimes for prestigious people are always implemented with attention, thereby promptly motivating and encouraging prestigious people to promote their roles, becoming typical examples for ethnic minorities to trust, listen to and follow.
