On the afternoon of April 21, a leader of the People's Committee of Hoang Tien commune, Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province said that at around 4:00 p.m. the same day, at Hai Tien tourist area, the body of a man (identity unknown) was discovered drifting onto the beach.
According to the leader, the body of this man was about 40 years old, in the process of decomposition, and was discovered near the wharf of Hai Tien beach.

"After discovering the incident, the police are verifying the victim's identity. This was not a tourist who drowned while swimming in the sea," the leader added.
