On the morning of October 26, Thanh Khe District Police (Da Nang City) said they had temporarily seized all goods and exhibits of unknown origin at the facility processing fried sour sausage and fried chicken wings.
Previously, at 10:35 a.m. on October 24, the Economic and Environmental Police Team of Thanh Khe District Police raided the Pho Food business on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (Thanh Khe Dong Ward, Thanh Khe District) owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Hien.
At this time, the Economic and Environmental Police Team caught the facility's employees processing and producing food without wearing full protective clothing, gloves, or hats as required.
Chicken wings ready to cook
The food business with the seized goods included 75 packages of fermented pork rolls and 9 packages of fried flour without labels. The owner of the business could not present legal documents proving the origin of these foods.
In addition, there are many chicken wings and fermented pork rolls in the process of being prepared; the processing area does not meet food safety conditions.
Goods and materials are temporarily detained.
Meanwhile, this facility advertises on social networks selling fast food items, calling itself "the largest in the Central region".
The Economic and Environmental Police Team said that, through checking compliance with the law on environmental protection and food safety, the owner of the establishment presented the Certificate of Business Registration issued by the Department of Finance and Planning of Thanh Khe District on September 23, 2016, registered for the 5th change on March 15, 2023, and the Certificate of food safety qualified establishment issued by the Department of Economics of Thanh Khe District on April 1, 2022.
Fast food processing facility discovered not meeting food safety conditions
The facility has been processing fried spring rolls and fried chicken wings since March 2023. The Economic and Environmental Police Team compared the facility's business line according to the registration certificate as buying and selling food, and the facility did not register to change the content of the business registration certificate as prescribed.
Therefore, the Economic and Environmental Police Team has filed an administrative violation case, temporarily detained all fried spring rolls, chicken wings, raw materials, etc. to continue verifying and handling in accordance with legal regulations.
