(NLDO)- Police in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province raided a 700 m2 facility deep inside a rubber plantation.
At around 3:20 p.m. on December 6, Chau Duc District Police (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) coordinated with Cu Bi Commune Police to raid a large-scale waste oil recycling facility located deep in a rubber lot in Dong Tien Village, Cu Bi Commune, Chau Duc District.

At the time of inspection, there were 5 people inside the facility cooking waste oil into finished oil. In the middle of the lot were 2 trucks carrying many cans of acid and bags of chemicals.
The 700 m2 waste oil recycling facility is located deep in a rubber forest, far from residential areas. It is surrounded by corrugated iron nearly 3 m high.

Inside there are factory areas, furnaces, and finished oil distillation areas. In particular, in the cooking area, this facility installed two large-capacity furnaces that gave off a strong odor.
Through counting, the authorities determined that there were about 22,000 liters of finished oil and 5,000 liters of unrecycled waste oil stored in large drums. In addition, there were 130 cans of acid, 10 bags of chemicals and many tools and equipment for cooking waste oil.

Working with the police, people working at the facility said that the above facility was rented by Mr. Vo Minh N. (born in 1987, residing in Thu Duc City) as a waste oil recycling facility from October 2024.
That same night, Chau Duc District Police sealed the barrels containing oil and chemicals, and brought the two trucks and related people to headquarters for further investigation and clarification.
