On the morning of September 13, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee launched a campaign to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the province.
Attending the event were comrades: Tran Hong Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nong Thi Ha, Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; leaders of departments, branches, socio-political organizations, armed forces, central agencies in the province; businesses, organizations, and individuals who came to support.
In recent times, the province has been experiencing continuous heavy rains, flash floods, landslides and widespread flooding. In particular, storm No. 3 caused serious damage to people and property in the districts of Nguyen Binh, Bao Lac, Bao Lam, Ha Quang, Hoa An, Trung Khanh, Thach An and the City. According to statistics up to September 13, floods have left 54 people dead and missing, 15 injured; 1,740 houses damaged; 1,850 hectares of rice and crops flooded; thousands of livestock and poultry killed and swept away; many residential areas were cut off and isolated; many key traffic routes, schools, medical stations, irrigation works, electricity and water systems, communications... were severely damaged.
During the first two days of launching (September 11-12), the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee received cash and bank transfer of more than 12 billion VND; nearly 18 tons of rice; over 2,000 boxes of instant noodles; over 20 tons of necessities (dry food, instant noodles, sausages, clothes, fish sauce, seasoning powder, filtered water, medical supplies...) with a total value of more than 1.6 billion VND. Distributed to 4 districts including communes and towns: Ca Thanh, Yen Lac (Nguyen Binh); Ngoc Dong, Thanh Long, Luong Thong, Thong Nong town (Ha Quang); Quoc Toan (Quang Hoa); Huy Giap, Xuan Truong (Bao Lac), a total of 11 tons of rice, 1,090 boxes of instant noodles, 500 pairs of sportswear and some other necessities (milk, water, clothes, fish sauce, seasoning powder, cakes, dry food, medical supplies...).
At the launching ceremony, the leader of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee read the Appeal to support Cao Bang people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. Accordingly, the Government and the Prime Minister have been resolutely directing the Central Ministries and branches to support resources, urgently deploy measures to overcome the consequences, take care of the health, and stabilize the lives of people affected by storm No. 3. Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, unions, businesses, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the province have made efforts to help people in the disaster area.
However, there are still thousands of people and households severely affected by natural disasters, facing many difficulties in life due to damaged houses, lack of food, necessities; especially people in remote areas, areas with flash floods, landslides, and flooded areas. They are in great need of attention, sharing, encouragement, and spiritual and material support from all levels, sectors, agencies, businesses, organizations, individuals and the whole society.
Promoting the tradition of solidarity "mutual love and affection" with the spirit of "sharing food and clothes" and responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people affected by natural disasters caused by storm No. 3, the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province call on cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers; cadres and soldiers of the armed forces; agencies, units, enterprises; religious organizations, philanthropists inside and outside the province to actively support and assist the people of Cao Bang province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives.
Contribution level: Cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers; officers and soldiers of the armed forces; agencies and units contribute 1 day's salary each. Companies, businesses; religious organizations and philanthropists contribute responsibly and emotionally, depending on their generosity and support with the highest spirit.
