From 2023, the Luong Van Can Talent Award will be built in a new format and form with a talent search process through 3 selection rounds. Specifically, in round 1, candidates will create a video clip presenting their passion for business, their desire to become an entrepreneur and their knowledge of the famous Luong Van Can. The organizing committee will select 600 most outstanding candidates for round 2. In this round, there will be tests on the candidates' career interests and academic achievements and activities to select 100 candidates for round 3. Candidates will answer direct interviews, demonstrate their communication skills and business situation handling skills.
The top 20 contestants of round 3 will participate in the “Business Talent” course which will last two years, including theory and practice. After that, the contestants will participate in the final round, defending their business plans before the Luong Van Can Talent Award Council. The award will last until October 2025.

According to journalist Tran Hoang, Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Luong Van Can Talent Award, the most obvious difference of this year's award is to seek out people with potential and business qualities to nurture, not to find start-up projects as before. This is not an easy goal, but through that, it contributes to encouraging the spirit and aspiration to become entrepreneurs in young people, nurturing more high-quality human resources for society.
