Launching the 17th Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament

In his opening speech, journalist Phan Viet Hung said that over the years, with its love for children and social responsibility, Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong newspapers have coordinated with ministries, departments, and sponsors to organize many sports tournaments for young generations.

These activities aim to create a fun and useful playground, increase physical activities, and at the same time help students have the opportunity to exchange, learn, and help each other in a community environment. We hope that schools and sponsors will continue to accompany the newspaper in these meaningful activities.

Hanoi Primary School Basketball Tournament continues to be held for the 17th year.

Also at the ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Basketball Federation shared more knowledge, answered, demonstrated and discussed questions related to Basketball Rules for children. Specific situations were also analyzed and illustrated to help teachers and coaches who directly take players to participate in competitions understand and grasp the specific rules.

Entering its 17th year, the Hanoi primary school basketball tournament organized by the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Basketball Federation and Nestle Vietnam Company Limited has achieved certain successes. The number of participating teams has increased rapidly each year, with the 2022 tournament attracting a total of 177 male and female basketball teams.

This has demonstrated the prestige, appeal, success and effectiveness of the tournament. From this playground, many young talents have been discovered, nurtured, matured and made many contributions to the country's sports in regional and international arenas.
