In his opening speech, Major General Do Trieu Phong, Director of the People's Public Security Communications Department, reported on the results of press and communications work and coordination in propaganda on the task of ensuring security and order in recent times.

According to Mr. Phong, in recent times, press and communication work on security and order has always received attention, orientation, and regular and close direction from the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, and the close and timely coordination of departments, branches, organizations, police units, localities, and press agencies.

Press agencies outside the Public Security Forces actively coordinate, proactively and promptly deploy many rich and diverse measures and forms of propaganda; focus on organizing online exchanges on electronic newspapers about security and order issues, plans, projects, and major topics of the Ministry of Public Security that are of interest to public opinion and the people...

At the meeting, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security awarded the "Protecting National Security" Medal to leaders of press agencies with outstanding achievements in propaganda for protecting security and order; and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in propaganda work.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also launched the Press Award with the theme "For National Security and Peaceful Life" for the period 2023-2025. The Press Award aims to promote propaganda work on all aspects of the activities of the People's Public Security Force; on the role, position and contributions of the Public Security Force in the fight against crime, protecting national security and social order and safety.

The content of the works participating in the award acknowledges and reflects truthfully and objectively the achievements, feats, difficulties, hardships and challenges of the police force; discovers and spreads advanced examples, good experiences, creative models, good people and good deeds in the life and combat of the people's police force...
