On November 1, the Supreme People's Court and the Vietnam Musicians Association jointly organized a launching ceremony for a songwriting contest about the People's Court.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, said that the contest is one of the highlights of the propaganda campaign on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the People's Court's Traditional Day (September 13, 1945 and September 13, 2023) to praise and honor the contributions and achievements of the Court sector, especially the silent sacrifices, difficulties and pressures of the judges of all periods. The contest also helps to effectively educate and propagate the traditions as well as the efforts to innovate and create in performing the tasks of the courts at all levels.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court believes that the works created from the contest will highlight exemplary judges, brave, always steadfast in the face of all temptations as well as threats and dangers to themselves and their families to protect justice to the end, pursuing the increasingly difficult tasks assigned. Along with that, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh hopes that the works will become the pride of the team of judges, regularly played in courthouses as well as in daily life and have enough quality and persuasiveness for people of all walks of life to better understand the judiciary.
According to the rules, the contest is aimed at all Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad, foreigners living, working, studying and working in Vietnam. Each author can submit multiple entries at the same time.
Entries can be performed in any style or musical genre; have lyrics in Vietnamese, are clear, easy to remember, have a high sense of community, do not violate traditional customs, do not violate the law; have a beautiful melody, neat structure, new and creative style; have never participated in any other contest and have no copyright disputes.
The songwriting contest about the People's Court has 1 first prize worth 50 million VND; 2 second prizes, each worth 30 million VND; 3 third prizes, each worth 20 million VND; 4 consolation prizes, each worth 10 million VND. The time to receive entries starts from 0:00 on November 2, 2023 to 17:00 on July 30, 2024.
