Surprise of the Italian team

The Italian team (Martarello Group SRL) is the runner-up of DIFF 2023, returning to DIFF 2024 with a long history of impressive achievements, notably winning DIFF 2017 - 2018 twice in a row. Martarello fireworks company was founded in 1921, after more than 100 years, from producing handmade fireworks, the company has become one of the largest and most famous fireworks manufacturers in the world.

Not only production, Martarello's fireworks technology and performance techniques are also constantly upgraded, organizing high-quality performances. In many festivals and international fireworks competitions, the Martarello fireworks team is a formidable opponent to the world's fireworks powers such as China and Germany.

The second night of DIFF 2024 is the confrontation between the Italian team, DIFF champion for two consecutive years 2017 and 2018, DIFF runner-up 2023 and the US team.

At DIFF 2023, the Italian team was defeated by the French team in the final night. Returning to Da Nang City and DIFF this time, the Italian team is determined to once again conquer the audience by the Han River with artistic stories imbued with Italian style.

This year, the Italian team took inspiration from nature and the colors of life, with a creative performance called "The Radiant Universe: Symphony of Lights".

The visual feast the Italian team brings combines symphonic background music to depict the gentleness of the river, along with vibrant rhythmic climaxes to depict the majesty of wild nature.

Before the performance, Mr. Michele Martarello, Artistic Director of Martarello, representing the Italian team, shared to thank the audience in Da Nang City for cheering for the Italian team during the DIFF seasons, the team will bring an unprecedented surprise.

The audience witnessed vivid natural paintings recreated through each magical and eye-catching fireworks display of the Italian team.

The Italian team completely conquered the audience.

And the surprise was that the Italian team performed two Vietnamese hits. With the experience of the most successful team in the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition, the Italian team knew how to win the hearts of the Vietnamese audience.

Especially when the song "Cut a Double Sorrow" (Tang Duy Tan) was played, the audience applauded continuously. The Italian team also included another Vietnamese song "Emperor" (Dinh Dung) in the background music, affirming their determination to regain the throne of DIFF this time.

And the long applause that followed showed that the Italian team had completely conquered the audience on their return night to Da Nang City.

Team USA inspires the festival

The company representing the U.S. team is Rozzi Fireworks. For over 130 years, Rozzi Fireworks has maintained its position as one of the leading fireworks companies. Today, Rozzi Fireworks produces over 300 fireworks displays around the world, winning numerous awards.

The US team has also participated in the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival many times, and is a favorite team of the audience because it always brings a youthful, vibrant performance style, inspiring the audience with a festive atmosphere.

The US team showed off their strength right from the first volleys with a series of effects.

Indeed, on the second night of competition, the US team delivered an explosive performance with the theme "Humanity - A Bridge Between Nations". A series of giant fireworks with bright colors, symbolizing the diversity of human experience.

The colors blend and merge, representing the harmonious coexistence of different cultures and backgrounds.

The US team’s performance conveyed the message that fireworks are not only a form of entertainment but also a visual art. With what they showed on the night, the US team truly inspired a jubilant, vibrant festival, bringing excitement to the audience.

However, at some points, the US team showed off their strength with a series of consecutive fireworks, creating a thick smoke screen, especially at the end of the performance, preventing the audience from fully enjoying the fireworks effects.

DIFF opened with the competition between defending champion France and host Vietnam on the evening of June 8. After the Italy-USA pair, the following nights will be performances by Germany-Poland (June 22) with the theme Made of Love Inspiration; China-Finland (June 29 with the theme Made of Fairy Tales) and the final night on July 13 with the name Made of Young Generation.
