'Shadow of the Erdtree' was announced back in February of this year, and not much has been known about it beyond an image shared by the developer. Elden Ring producer Yasuhiro Kitao recently provided an update on the expansion, saying that development is going well, but also noting that it won't be coming to fans anytime soon.

Recently, developer Kadokawa of From Software also announced that development of the Elden Ring expansion is "proceeding smoothly." The game's last major update was released in December last year, bringing a new arena called the Colosseum, where players can challenge each other in PvP and PvE matches. In March this year, the game continued to add support for the Ray Tracing feature on PC and Console.
