Phan Dang Hoang brings images of ancient women to Milan Fashion Week

As the only Vietnamese designer honored by Forbes as "Influential Artists Under 30 in Asia", designer Phan Dang Hoang has made his mark with collections imbued with the spirit of Vietnamese culture, while honoring the image of unique, liberal, and creative women through his distinctive design style of shaping and manual material handling.

Phan Dang Hoang's Spring Summer 2025 collection recreates the image of Vietnamese women 100 years ago from a modern, innovative and creative perspective. Combining inspiration from the silk paintings of famous painter Nguyen Phan Chanh and the art of ceramic shaping, designer Phan Dang Hoang hopes to create a breakthrough in streetwear style outfits.

Phan Dang Hoang revealed a collection of 40 designs, which he painstakingly prepared over a long period of time, from choosing ideas to completion. The designs aim to harmonize identity values ​​with the breath of the times, using typical colors such as earthy brown, nude, blue, red, white, black and materials such as silk, chiffon, denim, linen...

The designer focuses on the shape with details that honor the beauty of Vietnamese women in ancient times based on the silk paintings of Nguyen Phan Chanh.

"I put a lot of effort into this because it was the first show in one of the four fashion capitals of the world . There were many obstacles during the implementation process because I had to work remotely with a foreign crew, the censorship of the show's location was very strict, and the process of creating the collection also encountered many challenges. However, how to create my own personal mark in each product is something that I myself am very careful and researched thoroughly," the young designer confided.
