The Government Office has just announced the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at a meeting with a number of localities to promote the progress of implementing the 500kV line 3 projects from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).

The meeting took place on June 23, after the Prime Minister inspected the progress of the 500kV transmission line construction in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces.

Prime Minister commends many units

According to the conclusion announcement, the 500kV transmission line project is a very large and massive construction project, and the construction time until completion must last from 3 to 4 years.

However, with the strong direction of the Prime Minister, Government leaders and ministries, the participation of localities, people and mass organizations, and the great determination and efforts of the investors, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), after nearly 6 months of construction (with actual construction starting from January 25), the project has achieved many results.

"This is a very commendable and proud result, and at the same time, this is also a lesson in leadership, direction, management, and implementation organization to apply to large projects. That is to implement with the spirit of high determination, great effort, drastic action, clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear time, clear products, and results that can be weighed and measured" - the announcement stated.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the proactiveness of localities, commended relevant ministries and branches for promptly removing difficulties and obstacles; as well as commended EVN, EVNNPT and construction units and contractors for working with the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", "only discussing work, not backtracking", ensuring the technical requirements and quality of the project.

At the same time, he also praised the team of officers, engineers, and workers from electricity units across the country (such as Can Tho, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Cao Bang, Bac Kan...) who came to support the project implementation.

The participation of the Youth Union has promoted the youth, initiative, and volunteerism with the spirit of "wherever needed, there are youth, where there is difficulty, there are youth"; the consensus, support, and active participation in the project of local people...

The Head of Government also commended television and press agencies, such as Vietnam Television, newspapers : Tuoi Tre, Thanh Nien, Lao Dong, Tien Phong and other newspapers and radio stations for promptly reporting news, articles, and reports, creating beautiful images of cadres, engineers, and workers in the electricity industry to encourage and inspire enthusiasm for work...

Continue to remove obstacles to complete the project

With the project entering an urgent phase, requiring high determination, greater efforts, and more drastic actions, the Prime Minister requested to organize a special peak emulation period, "sprint", "lightning speed", mobilizing all forces to participate in order to strive to basically complete the pole erection and wire pulling work by June.

Accordingly, in July, complete the procedures for technical inspection and acceptance and organize the inauguration of the project, in which it is necessary to do a good job of environmental restoration and sanitation; quickly stabilize the livelihoods of families where the project passes through, not to affect production, business and people's lives.

Relevant ministries and branches shall carry out work according to their functions, tasks and powers, and promptly handle arising difficulties and problems; especially thoroughly handling problems regarding forest use area for the implementation of the Quang Trach - Quynh Luu 500kV transmission line project, without letting it drag on.

The locality urgently completes the entire handover of the route corridor; mobilizes local youth, women, and veterans to support the construction unit. Resolutely resolves compensation and resettlement for people; strengthens inspection and supervision to ensure that people have new housing that is better than their old one.

Media and press agencies continue to focus on reporting news, articles, photos, and reports on good experiences and valuable lessons learned during the implementation process. From leadership, direction, and coordination of ministries and agencies; mobilizing resources and the strength of the entire political system.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to strongly propagate the sacrifices, giving up of housing, farming land, production and business places, and livelihoods of people for the project that have made the project "speedy" in order to promptly encourage, inspire and create motivation and enthusiasm in labor not only in the electricity industry but also in other fields.
