ANTD.VN - Petrolimex Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PG Bank) has officially changed its name to Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PGBank).
The State Bank of Vietnam has just issued a decision to amend the content of the Bank Name in the Establishment and Operation License of Petrolimex Joint Stock Commercial Bank.
According to this decision, the new full name of the bank is Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank.
English name is Prosperity And Growth Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
The abbreviated name is PGBank (replacing the old abbreviated name PG Bank).

Previously, PGBank had asked shareholders for their opinions on changing its commercial name and was approved. The reason was that the old name was associated with the previous major shareholder, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group Petrolimex.
Currently, Petrolimex has divested capital at PGBank and Petrolimex has requested PGBank to stop using trademarks owned by Petrolimex before December 31, 2023.
In addition, PGBank also approved the change of headquarters location to HEAC Building No. 14-16 Ham Long, Phan Chu Trinh Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City. This is one of the projects of Thanh Cong Group - a business with many related personnel present in the new leadership of PGBank.
Previously, the bank's headquarters were located at Floors 16, 23, 24, Mipec Building, 229 Tay Son, Nga Tu So Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi City.
