The new building is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including Panasonic’s first multi-functional laboratory, which allows simultaneous testing of water heaters and air conditioners, to shorten the research and development time of air conditioning equipment for the global market, especially Southeast Asia and Europe, thereby accelerating the development process to meet regional needs.
Currently, Panasonic Corporation has two subsidiaries in Malaysia, including Panasonic Appliances Air-Conditioning Malaysia (PAPAMY), which specializes in manufacturing household air conditioners, commercial air conditioners, heatpump water heaters (A2W), etc., and PAPARADMY Research and Development Company.
Established in 1973, PAPAMY has been operating and developing for 50 years. In Southeast Asia, the population is increasing, the construction of large projects including buildings is inevitable, leading to a sharp increase in the demand for commercial air conditioning.
In addition, the global market is expanding in the field of air conditioning using high-energy-saving heat pump technology, A2W and hydronic heating systems. To meet these needs, Panasonic Corporation will strengthen its research and development capabilities through activities at the new R&D center.
Accordingly, this building is built next to the current PAPARADMY building, including advanced laboratories and modern office areas with three floors and a floor area of 10,900m2, of which the first and second floors are areas for laboratories, and the third floor is an office area.
With modern facilities, owning the first multi-functional research room to simultaneously test both air conditioning equipment and water heaters. Modern technologies are also improved and integrated into air conditioning equipment to improve management efficiency and reduce energy consumption through IoT applications.
