From sustainable initiative to record milestone

Based on the Panasonic Green Impact commitment to reduce corporate CO₂ emissions and respond to the Government's project to plant one billion trees in the 2021-2025 period, Panasonic launched the "Healthy Living, Green Contribution" campaign in 2022. Not only stopping at tree planting activities, the program also strongly spreads environmental protection awareness to the community. Since its launch, the campaign has received widespread support from local authorities, agencies, customers and partners, joining hands to turn initiatives into practical actions.

After only 3 years of implementation, the campaign has “greened” 1,071,300 trees in 20 provinces and cities from North to South, with 17 carefully selected tree varieties. Over the next 10 years, these seedlings are capable of absorbing 108,000 tons of CO2, helping to minimize the impact of climate change. This achievement has helped Panasonic become the unit that initiated and successfully planted 1 million trees in the shortest time. This is not only a proud milestone but also a clear demonstration of Panasonic’s perseverance and practical contributions in the journey to contribute to building a green Vietnam, towards a sustainable future.

To mark this memorable milestone, Panasonic held a record-setting ceremony on March 18, 2025 with a series of activities including a visit to the protective forest in Soc Trang and a record-receiving ceremony at the Hoa Binh Wind Power Plant area. This is also an opportunity for Panasonic to express its gratitude for the support and trust from the government, ministries, departments, customers, partners and employees - those who have joined hands on the journey towards 1 million trees.

At the event, Mr. Cao Minh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Center for Communications of Natural Resources and Environment shared: “The program “Live healthy, contribute green” is a clear demonstration of corporate responsibility to society, bringing long-term values ​​to the environment and community. We appreciate Panasonic’s vision and efforts and will continue to accompany and facilitate such meaningful activities to be widely spread, contributing to building a greener and more sustainable Vietnam.”

“This is not only Panasonic’s achievement, but also the result of the whole community’s cooperation. Continuing the journey of sustainable green inspiration

In addition to the number of 1 million trees, the program also spreads and arouses green responsibility in the community. Not only planting trees, many consumers have gradually changed their daily habits: saving electricity, prioritizing environmentally friendly products, acting for nature... These small but sustainable changes have become part of the green journey that Panasonic is aiming for.

Within the framework of the "Healthy Living, Green Contribution" program, Panasonic also organized a series of awareness-raising activities, typically 4 field trips within 3 years, attracting a large number of customers and young people to participate. These trips also received great attention on media channels, creating a wave of lively interaction and strongly spreading the message of green living. In particular, Panasonic also helps users track the growth of trees through a unique code on the program website, demonstrating the transparency and long-term commitment of the business to the campaign.

Furthermore, to realize the Panasonic Green Impact commitment, the company also focuses on developing solutions with green technology. Notably, nanoe™ X technology helps improve air quality, ECO technology combined with AI on air conditioners and Inverter technology on refrigerators and washing machines to help save electricity. In addition, Panasonic also uses environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant and a series of initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions, spreading sustainable lifestyles to the community through inspirational campaigns such as "Leading green living", "Panasonic for a green Vietnam"...

After 3 years of implementing the "Healthy Living, Green Contribution" program, Panasonic is not only the most successful enterprise in "greening" 1 million trees in the shortest time but also contributes to raising awareness and inspiring environmental protection in the community.
