The incident occurred when traffic from Binh Thuan to Ho Chi Minh City after Tet caused the road to be congested for many kilometers. The Traffic Police Department and the highway management force are coordinating, clearing the scene, and investigating the cause of the accident.
According to the highway management unit, over the past two days there have been many consecutive collisions on the above route due to vehicles not keeping the correct distance when driving on the highway.
