Mr. Vo Khac Thai was elected as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.

Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - attended the conference. Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, former President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Confederation, was present to congratulate her successor.

Mr. Vo Khac Thai was the Secretary of District 7 Party Committee before being mobilized and appointed by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to be the Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.

He was also introduced by the conference to join the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 13 (term 2023 - 2028).

Congratulating the new chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Mr. Phan Van Anh said that Mr. Thai is a cadre from the grassroots, has held many different positions and has fulfilled his roles well in previous positions.

With his new assignment at the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - the organization of workers and trade unions in the city with the largest number of workers in the country, he hopes that Mr. Thai will continue to improve and learn, especially in the field of workers and trade unions, to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

The new President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Vo Khac Thai, thanked the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation for trusting him to be elected as President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation. He hopes to receive help and support from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to help him fulfill his duties well.

Mr. Vo Khac Thai is 57 years old, from Tien Giang. He has a bachelor's degree in administration and advanced political theory. He was the chairman of the People's Committee of District 3, then the secretary of the District Party Committee of District 7.

With his election as chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Mr. Vo Khac Thai replaced his predecessor Tran Thi Dieu Thuy who was elected as vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council meeting on May 19.
