Trump had a busy campaign schedule in Michigan on September 27. Stopping at the FALK Manufacturing plant in Walker, he spoke about the Michigan auto industry in front of a crowd of 1,500 people. He criticized US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for destroying Michigan's auto industry by sending jobs overseas and implementing "mandatory electric vehicle regulations."
Former US President Donald Trump visited the FALK Production plant in Michigan on September 27.
“Your auto industry is being taken away like a child being taken away candy,” he said.
Harris' campaign has said there is no such rule and the Democratic presidential candidate does not support a plan to mandate electric vehicles.
Trump said he would support Michigan’s auto industry by cutting a 15% tax on U.S.-made cars and increasing tariffs on imported goods from other countries. After the Walker rally, Trump traveled to Warren, Michigan, for a town hall event.
