Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu is the General Director of Vietnam Chemical Group.

According to information from the Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem), Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu has just been officially appointed as the general director of this group.

Mr. Tu's appointment was made based on Official Dispatch No. 212 dated January 15 of the Government Office on the policy of appointing him to the position of member of the Board of Members and General Director of Vinachem; Decision No. 39 of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises on the appointment of members of the Board of Members.

Accordingly, on January 15, the chairman of the board of members of Vinachem Group signed Decision No. 18 appointing Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, member of the group's board of members, to hold the position of general director of Vinachem.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu was born in 1977, has a PhD in Economics from Hanoi National Economics University. Before transferring to work at Vietnam Chemical Group, he was Deputy Director of the Industry Department, Central Economic Committee.

In July 2018, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu was appointed a member of the Board of Members of Vietnam Chemical Group. In July 2023, he was appointed as Deputy General Director of Vietnam Chemical Group.

From August 2024 to present, Mr. Tu has been appointed as Deputy General Director in charge of the Executive Board of Vietnam Chemical Group. Mr. Tu assumed this position to replace Mr. Phung Quang Hiep, member of the Board of Members and General Director, who was appointed as Chairman of Vinachem.

With positive business results, Vinachem has recorded three consecutive years of peak revenue from 2022 to 2024. In particular, 2024 achieved the second highest combined revenue target in history.

Specifically, the total revenue of the whole group is estimated at VND 57,909 billion, up 3% compared to the plan, up 1% compared to the implementation in 2023; the parent company is estimated at VND 1,450 billion, equivalent to 186% of the plan. Gross profit is estimated at VND 2,872 billion, completing 118% of the plan; budget contribution is VND 2,116 billion, exceeding 24% of the plan.

At the conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu emphasized that in the new period, the focus will be on scientific and technological research, aiming at the goal of sustainable and environmentally friendly development.

In which, we focus on green production and green growth, producing high-quality fertilizers that can provide nutrients according to the needs of crops, with the goal of contributing to ensuring national food security.

With the orientation of green transformation, Vinachem will develop industry groups and product lines that are suitable for the trend. These are product groups serving the semiconductor industry and products applying AI technology.

At the same time, the group's 5-year production and business plan has been approved to implement many important projects such as the plan to explore, exploit, process and use apatite minerals. The Politburo also approved the policy to continue implementing the project to exploit and process potassium salt in Laos.
