Trong's family is poor and has no land for farming. The whole family has to live with his maternal grandparents at the edge of the forest. Trong's parents work as hired laborers, fishing and setting traps to make a living. Because the family is poor, Trong's older brother had to give up his place in school for him. Because he doesn't have a vehicle to go to school, he has to walk more than 3km to school every day.

At this ceremony, Trong and many students said they were very happy to have the support of Tuoi Tre newspaper and Agribank, making the journey to find knowledge less difficult and distant.

Ms. Pham Thi Dua, Khanh Thuan commune, U Minh district, could not hold back her tears when her child received gifts and a new bicycle to go to school.
