Phuc Tho district authorities supported the evacuation of people to safe shelters.

Due to the impact of heavy rain and flooding, Phuc Tho district had to evacuate 67 households with 165 people to safe shelters. After the storm passed, people stabilized and returned to their households. There were no human casualties in the district.

Statistics show that in Phuc Tho district, storm No. 3 and the storm's circulation caused 647 trees to be broken and fallen, and 940 trees to have their branches broken. 8 structures were damaged and had their roofs blown off. More than 500 hectares of rice were broken and flooded, and about 260 hectares of various vegetables were damaged. The area of ​​fruit trees flooded, affecting the productivity, was about 397 hectares...

To overcome the consequences of natural disasters, Phuc Tho district is currently directing functional units to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and towns to focus on handling broken and fallen trees, pruning and repairing damaged works and electrical incidents; organizing the clearing of water flows, drainage ditches, irrigation canal systems in the fields, drainage for rice and vegetables, etc.

Phuc Tho District Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Hoan inspected disaster prevention and control work in the district.

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phuc Tho district has issued a document mobilizing contributions to support natural disaster relief from cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers; directing communes and towns to propagate, mobilize, and provide on-site support to affected households...

Inspecting the actual work of overcoming the consequences of floods, Secretary of Phuc Tho District Party Committee Nguyen Doan Hoan emphasized that the current situation of floods is still complicated. Therefore, he requested agencies, units, 18 communes and towns to strengthen inspection and review of means and materials, promptly handle incidents on some dikes; focus on quickly overcoming the consequences after the storm with the motto "where the flood recedes, fix it immediately".

The district's specialized departments develop plans to restore production, try to preserve valuable crops of the people, overcome flooded vegetable and rice areas; overcome technical infrastructure; focus on disinfection to prevent epidemics, environmental sanitation in schools, residential areas, public places...

Phuc Tho District Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Hoan also requested communes and towns to continue to complete plans for evacuating people when situations arise; develop plans to ensure security and order 24/7. At the same time, promote propaganda work to raise the sense of responsibility of officials and people in flood and storm prevention.
