Nguyen Thi Khanh Linh, from Bac Ninh, has just graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Economics from the Foreign Trade University. Along with that, Khanh Linh is extremely excellent when achieving the title of Valedictorian of the school with an absolute average score of 4.0/4.0.
Since high school, Khanh Linh has always been an outstanding student with the achievement of Third Prize in the national excellent student English competition. Her university entrance exam score was also very impressive with a total score of 28.05. In university, Khanh Linh continued to prove her ability at Foreign Trade University with the major of International Economics. In addition to her absolute academic scores, Khanh Linh also participated in writing many scientific articles with ISSN index.
Khanh Linh received the Scientific Research Award.
Sharing the reason for choosing this major, Khanh Linh confided: “As I know, International Economics is a very special major as it is a research-oriented training major, and is the cradle of many individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the academic world. I chose to study this major because I love it and it gives me the opportunity to develop my analytical thinking, opening up opportunities to participate in influential research projects. This is also the path I want to pursue to become a researcher who contributes to the country's science.”
The course has also helped Khanh Linh hone her diligence, meticulousness and carefulness in every task. Each research paper requires precision, thoroughness and accuracy, which has trained her to pay attention to every small detail, avoiding unnecessary mistakes.
After 4 years of studying at the Foreign Trade University, Khanh Linh has excelled in becoming the valedictorian, a role model for future generations of students at the school. She confided: “Honestly, when I received the news that I had achieved the title of valedictorian of the International Economics major at the Foreign Trade University, I was quite surprised. During my studies, I paid more attention to the journey I went through and the knowledge I learned than to the achievement. For me, the title of valedictorian is also a gift I bring to my family and those I love.”
When asked about her own study tips, Khanh Linh said: “I think focusing on the lectures before, during and right after the lecture is the best way for me to balance my time and achieve good learning results. In the past years of studying, I have always kept in mind that knowledge is something that directly serves the learning process at school as well as future work. I do not consider it just a tool to help me do well on the final exam or get good grades. Therefore, before studying a subject, I will find out what is the appropriate time in the semester or more broadly, the entire curriculum to register for that subject. At the same time, absorbing the lectures right in the lecture as well as regularly creating the habit of thinking and recalling knowledge after the lesson is what helps me remember the lesson longer as well as reduce the pressure of the amount of knowledge every time the exam season is near”.
According to Khanh Linh, the current generation of Vietnamese students is extremely dynamic and creative. That is the launching pad that helps our students gain knowledge, stand out, and bring many opportunities in the future. Besides, the girl from Bac Ninh believes that creativity only happens when students in particular and young people in general are exposed to the world, knowledge and work at a certain level, enough for them to realize what is new and what is old. This also implies that creativity comes from understanding, must be culturally appropriate and above all, create value for the community, must enter life and not just stay in thoughts or stop at ideas.
Therefore, with her experiences, the Valedictorian of Foreign Trade University hopes that new students across the country will begin a journey of constant effort, exploration, and creativity in learning to be ready to become future owners of the country.
