Nhu Binh is a familiar name in the journalism and literature world, because she has worked for over 30 years at the People's Police Newspaper, from reporter to manager. She has also had 11 literary works (mainly short stories) published and left an impression on readers.
This comeback marks a new step on Nhu Binh's creative path when he "breaks through" into three new genres: Poetry, essays and painting.
The poetry collection Blue Silence consists of 52 poems composed over the past 3 years. Nhu Binh came to poetry when he thought he had already accepted his "fate" with prose.
The collection of poems is divided into 3 parts. The first part is called Tram , including 17 poems; The next part is called Mong , including 20 poems; The last part is called Thien, including 16 poems.
Evaluating Nhu Binh's poetry, Doctor of Language Do Anh Vu said that it seems like she always burns to the limit in her love emotions, loves to the point of forgetting herself, loves so much that every poem she writes is her last.

“The short and long verses flow out like a range of emotions, sometimes far, sometimes near, sometimes throbbing, sometimes smoldering, sometimes vaguely sad, sometimes wildly boiling. Nhu Binh lulled herself with love poems. Many of the poems she wrote can actually be considered endless poems, not knowing when they started and certainly not having an end date,” said Dr. Do Anh Vu.
With the work Love for the Far Away, the author introduces 21 essays and miscellaneous notes that were selected and scattered throughout his 18-year career in Hanoi. The theme is about village culture facing the negative effects of urbanization and the longing of people with a rural soul living in the city. There, the author devotes much love and thought to his loved ones in his hometown.
Along with the launch of two books, Nhu Binh also introduced 30 paintings created in the last 3 years, including still life, portraits, landscapes... expressed with acrylic on canvas.
According to the author, if poetry and essays are very real pages, as if they were taken from life, love, and contemplation of a thoughtful woman, then paintings are where Nhu Binh can freely dream, express, and confide.

Artist Dao Hai Phong believes that when looking at Nhu Binh's paintings, one can immediately see the spirit of a poet. Her paintings are filled with overwhelming emotions, hasty in both color and strokes that seem to be unplanned.
“When Nhu Binh is moved by a vase of flowers or a cloud, she immediately paints innocently without calculation. That innocence is also a characteristic of Nhu Binh’s appearance and style. Nhu Binh paints as if she is afraid of losing her sincere feelings for nature and flowers, and she feels grateful for those values given to her,” said artist Dao Hai Phong.
The exhibition of paintings by author Nhu Binh will last until October 21 at the Writers Association Publishing House, 65 Nguyen Du, Hanoi.
